My Journey Begins

My New Journey!

My truck (aka "Big Daddy") is a 2007 Dodge Ram 1500 with a 5.7 Hemi Engine.  My "condo on wheels" (aka Safire) is a 2012 Heartland North Trail with a length of 29 feet and overall length with the tow hitch of 34.4 feet.  Safire is equipped with one slide out in the living room/kitchen area, it has a beautiful private bathroom which includes a shower, potty, sink with cabinet underneath and even a medicine cabinet.  My queen size bed is in the front with, what I thought would be plenty of room in the closets and cubby spaces, for clothes.  Underneath the bed, there is a storage where I have placed my treasured quilts and crocheted blankets.  The kitchen has plenty of cabinet space, and includes a 3 burner stove with little oven and range hood (fan and light), a double stainless steel sink, microwave, separate doors for refrigerator and freezer, and a pantry (thank goodness for that!).  The living area includes two really comfortable rocker chairs, a love seat that can pull out into a bed, and my U-shaped dining area which also has storage below and converts to a bed.  There is a television on the wall with cabinets above and below.  There is more, and I'll share pictures as the days roll on.  Friends say that "Safire" is so me with the earthtone colors.

On April 11, 2017, I left Denver Colorado and headed out on my journey to view the United States and perhaps Canada too!

Traveling west through Colorado, I stopped in Limon for kawfee and something to eat.  Doesn't an omelet with cheese on sourdough toast with a side of two sausage links sound great?  I thought so.  I don't recommend the TA truck stop for getting it right.  What I received was SCRAMBLED eggs, no cheese, toast on the side and two nicely cooked sausage links.

Leaving Limon and headed to Boise City, Oklahoma I stopped along the way both for kawfee and overnight stays at several truck stops.  Truck stops are very accommodating.

Here's a picture of a kewl rock formation found on Route 287 South through Colorado.
Appropriately, yes they look like piles of poop and are found at the rest area.  LOL!  No kidding!
